Peter Kirkov, Manager of Telelink Risk Management Department, took part in the international IT Hub Connect forum on March 26-27 organized under the auspices of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
How GDPR regulation affects other countries and how it spurs development of similar regulations in South America and Asia, as well as concerns coming from the business about unsynchronized requirements in different legislation, were part of the topics on which he discusses over during the event. Another view on the private data protection shared was on positive side, how GDPR can help organizations establish information security programs, including implementation of hot new technologies like AI.
The forum gathered in Sofia over 500 government officials, C-level executives, business experts and startup companies from Southeast Europe, India and US.
